# Yllka Mujo

**Yllka Mujo** (born 15 October 1953) is an Albanian actress, especially known for her roles in Albanian movies during the [communist regime](/source/Socialist_People's_Republic_of_Albania). For her acting credits she was given the title [Merited Artist of Albania](/source/Merited_Artist_of_Albania).[1]

## Life

Yllka Muji (or Mujo) comes from an Albanian family that moved from [Tuz](/source/Tuz,_Montenegro), [Kingdom of Yugoslavia](/source/Kingdom_of_Yugoslavia) (now [Montenegro](/source/Montenegro)), to [Shkodër](/source/Shkod%C3%ABr) during the [Monarchist period](/source/Kingdom_of_Albania_(1928%E2%80%9339)). She was born in the capital [Tirana](/source/Tirana) and was the sister of actor Agim Mujo (1955/1956–2019). In recognition to her career, she was also given the title of "Maestro of Arts" in the [National Theatre of Albania](/source/National_Theatre_of_Albania).

Mujo married (now divorced) Haig Zaharinë then Gjergj Polikron Zaharia,[2] an actor,[3] born in [Përmet](/source/P%C3%ABrmet), and had one son, Amos Muji Zaharia (b. 1987), an actor and film director; and one daughter, [Elia Zaharia](/source/Elia_Zaharia) (b. 1983), an actress, former singer, and ex-wife of [Leka, Crown Prince of Albania](/source/Leka_II,_Crown_Prince_of_Albania)[citation needed].
