**Yinon** (Hebrew: יִנּוֹן) is a [moshav](/source/Moshav) in southern [Israel](/source/Israel). Located near [Kiryat Malakhi](/source/Kiryat_Malakhi), it falls under the jurisdiction of [Be'er Tuvia Regional Council](/source/Be'er_Tuvia_Regional_Council). In it had a population of .

## History

The moshav was founded in 1952 by [Jewish exodus](/source/Jewish_exodus_from_Arab_and_Muslim_countries) from [Yemen](/source/Mutawakkilite_Kingdom_of_Yemen) on lands that had belonged to the depopulated [Palestinian](/source/Palestinian_people) village of [Al-Masmiyya al-Kabira](/source/Al-Masmiyya_al-Kabira).[1] Its name was taken from a passage in the Bible,[2] [Psalm](/source/Psalms) 72:17: God's name "shall flourish as long as the sun".
