**Yap Rui Chen** (born 29 March 1996) is a Malaysian [badminton](/source/Badminton) player.[1][2] She was selected to represent Malaysia at the [2017 Summer Universiade](/source/2017_Summer_Universiade) in [Taipei](/source/Taipei), Taiwan.

## Career

Yap plays both singles and doubles. She won her first international title in the [Norwegian International](/source/Norwegian_International). In the same year, she won the [Hungarian International](/source/Hungarian_International) Challenge. Yap and her team won a bronze medal at the [2017 Summer Universiade](/source/Badminton_at_the_2017_Summer_Universiade_%E2%80%93_Mixed_team).

In 2022, she participated in the [2022 ASEAN University Games](/source/2022_ASEAN_University_Games) and won a gold medal in the women's team event and a gold in women's doubles.[3]
