In 2007 a radio station in France released the album ''[Générations 88.2](/source/%3Afr%3AG%C3%A9n%C3%A9rations_(radio))'', a collection of 15 CDs described as the best hits 1997-2007, featuring Yaiya's song ''I'ma Do It (Anyway ft. NewKid)''. The album also featured artists like [Ciara](/source/Ciara), [Timbaland](/source/Timbaland), [Brian McKnight](/source/Brian_McKnight), [Snoop Dogg](/source/Snoop_Dogg), [Dr. Dre](/source/Dr._Dre), [D'Angelo](/source/D'Angelo), [Nas](/source/Nas) and Swedish rapper [Promoe](/source/Promoe).

Yaiya is related to the Norwegian Sámi singer [Mari Boine](/source/Mari_Boine), 6th cousin.
