***Yabani*** (English: ***Wild Heart***) is a [Turkish television drama](/source/Turkish_television_drama) series that is being produced by [NTC Medya](/source/NTC_Medya) and directed by [Çağatay Tosun](/source/%C3%87a%C4%9Fatay_Tosun). The series was created by Hilal Yıldız.[1] The [production company](/source/Production_company) behind the show is NTC MEDYA, with producers Fatih Aksoy and Mehmet Yiğit Alp. The show premiered on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.[2][3][4] The leading roles of the series feature [Halit Özgür Sarı](/source/Halit_%C3%96zg%C3%BCr_Sar%C4%B1), [Dolunay Soysert](/source/Dolunay_Soysert), [Tayanç Ayaydın](/source/Tayan%C3%A7_Ayayd%C4%B1n), [Simay Barlas](/source/Simay_Barlas) and [Şebnem Hassanisoughi](https://tr.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=%C5%9Eebnem_Hassanisoughi&oldid=35227577). In January 2024, the series was said to be "one of the most successful (Turkish) productions of th(e) season."[5][6]

## Plot

The show's plot revolves around the story of a child who was kidnapped from a wealthy family and subsequently found himself abandoned on the streets. After years of navigating the challenges of life in an unfamiliar environment, he eventually manages to return to his original home. The series delves into his struggle to reinvent himself and reintegrate into the family and society he was once a part of, all while coming to terms with the profound changes that have occurred during his absence.[7]

*Yabani* is filmed in [Istanbul](/source/Istanbul), and in particular in the [Beşiktaş](/source/Be%C5%9Fikta%C5%9F) and [Galata](/source/Galata) districts.[8]

A second season was approved in May 2024.[9]

## Reception

After a very strong start, audiences for the series have fallen.[10][11]
