**yA** is a brand name of the [Resurs Bank](/source/Resurs_Holding), which offers [consumer loans](/source/Consumer_loan), [deposits](/source/Deposit_account), [credit cards](/source/Credit_card) and other loans to the [retail market](/source/Retail_market) in Norway.

## Information

Established in 2006 and with headquarters in [Oslo](/source/Oslo), [Norway](/source/Norway), yA Bank has over 100,000 customers.[2]

yA Bank, a [limited company (aksjeselskap or AS)](/source/Aksjeselskap), is owned by yA Holding, a [public limited company (allmennaksjeselskap or ASA)](/source/Allmennaksjeselskap), where shareholders include Norwegian and foreign institutional investors, funds, and banks. [Kistefos AS](/source/Kistefos) is the largest shareholder.[3] yA Holding is traded [over the counter](/source/Over-the-counter_(finance)) on the NOTC A-list of The Norwegian Securities Dealers Association.[4]

yA Bank is a member of the [Norwegian Banks' Guarantee Fund](/source/Norwegian_Banks'_Guarantee_Fund).[5]

In 2015, consumer finance bank [Resurs Bank AB](/source/Resurs_Holding) agreed to acquire shares in yA Bank in a transaction valued at [NOK](/source/Norwegian_krone) 1.58 billion.[6] On November 30, 2018, yA Bank merged with Resurs Bank.[7]
