## History

The [Olympic Village](/source/Olympic_Village) in Elstal

It was established in 2002 through a merger of the five villages: Buchow-Karpzow, Elstal, Hoppenrade, Priort, and Wustermark.[3][4] Elstal was the host of the [Olympic Village](/source/Olympic_Village) at the [1936 Summer Olympics](/source/1936_Summer_Olympics) in [Berlin](/source/Berlin).[5]
