**Wusterhausen** (vʊstɐˈhaʊ̯zn̩; official name **Wusterhausen/Dosse**) is a [municipality](/source/Municipalities_of_Germany) in the [Ostprignitz-Ruppin](/source/Ostprignitz-Ruppin) district, in northwestern [Brandenburg](/source/Brandenburg), [Germany](/source/Germany). It is situated on the river [Dosse](/source/Dosse_(river)), 7 km southeast of [Kyritz](/source/Kyritz), and 75 km northwest of [Berlin](/source/Berlin).

## History

From 1815 to 1945, Wusterhausen was part of the [Prussian](/source/Prussia) [Province of Brandenburg](/source/Province_of_Brandenburg). From 1952 to 1990, it was part of the [Bezirk Potsdam](/source/Bezirk_Potsdam) of [East Germany](/source/East_Germany).
