# World Extermination

***World Extermination*** is the only studio album by American [grindcore](/source/Grindcore) band [Insect Warfare](/source/Insect_Warfare), released on September 10, 2007, through 625 Thrashcore Records.[1] It was later reissued by [Earache Records](/source/Earache_Records) on March 2, 2009.[2]

## Critical reception

*World Extermination* was acclaimed upon release,[3][4][5] and is considered an essential grindcore album.[6][7] In December 2009, *[Terrorizer](/source/Terrorizer_(magazine))* ranked the album at number 46 on their "Albums of the Decade" list.[8] The album was inducted into *[Decibel](/source/Decibel_(magazine))* magazine's "Hall of Fame" in November 2023.[9]
