**Wong Nai Chung Road** is a major road in [Happy Valley](/source/Happy_Valley%2C_Hong_Kong), Hong Kong. It is a U-shaped road that encircles the southern, western and eastern sides of the [Happy Valley Racecourse](/source/Happy_Valley_Racecourse).

## Location

Wong Nai Chung Road starts northeast at the junction with [Leighton Road](/source/Leighton_Road), then turns southward and meets [Blue Pool Road](/source/Blue_Pool_Road) at the southern residential area of the valley. It turns westward to [Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital](/source/Hong_Kong_Sanatorium_%26_Hospital) and then northwest to meet [Morrison Hill Road](/source/Morrison_Hill_Road) and [Queen's Road East](/source/Queen's_Road_East) and under the [Wong Nai Chung Gap Flyover](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wong_Nai_Chung_Gap_Flyover&action=edit&redlink=1).

The western side of the road on the west of the valley forms part of the eastern limits of the [City of Victoria](/source/City_of_Victoria%2C_Hong_Kong).[1]

The school building was designed by [Leigh & Orange](/source/Leigh_%26_Orange) and constructed in 1907 for the Roman Catholic Order of the [Sisters of St Paul de Chartres](/source/Sisters_of_Saint_Paul_of_Chartres).[2] It is listed as a Grade II historic building since 1992.[3]

## Transport

A circular branch line of [Hong Kong Tramways](/source/Hong_Kong_Tramways) runs along Wong Nai Chung Road, serving Happy Valley and the Happy Valley Racecourse. The Happy Valley Terminus is at the southernmost point of the road. The Tram runs on Wong Tai Chung Road in the section between [Leighton Road](/source/Leighton_Road) station and Morrison Hill Road station.
