It is produced by [Dede Gardner](/source/Dede_Gardner) and [Jeremy Kleiner](/source/Jeremy_Kleiner) under the [Plan B Entertainment](/source/Plan_B_Entertainment) label and [Liz Watts](/source/Liz_Watts) of [See-Saw Films](/source/See-Saw_Films)'s Australian office.[2] In May 2022, it was announced that [Pete Davidson](/source/Pete_Davidson), [Franz Rogowski](/source/Franz_Rogowski), [Naomi Scott](/source/Naomi_Scott), and [Sean Harris](/source/Sean_Harris) were cast in the film.[10] In June that same year, it was announced that [Orlando Bloom](/source/Orlando_Bloom) was added to the cast.[11] The film was shot in [Cairns](/source/Cairns), [Queensland](/source/Queensland), and [Cape Tribulation](/source/Cape_Tribulation,_Queensland) (at Cape Tribulation Resort & Spa) for approximately five weeks, wrapping in August 2022. The production brought approximately 100 jobs and three times as many roles for extras, working with [Indigenous](/source/Indigenous_Australians) women in the area.[2] ## Release *Wizards!* was expected to be released in 2023.[2] However, at the end of 2023, it was announced that Michôd and [A24](/source/A24) were editing a new version of the film.
