# Wisconsin Highway 121

**State Trunk Highway 121** (often called **Highway 121**, **STH-121** or **WIS 121**) is a 45.07-mile (72.53-kilometre) [state highway](/source/State_highway#United_States) in [Buffalo](/source/Buffalo_County,_Wisconsin), [Trempealeau](/source/Trempealeau_County,_Wisconsin), and [Jackson](/source/Jackson_County,_Wisconsin) counties in the west-central area of the US state of [Wisconsin](/source/Wisconsin) that runs east–west from [Gilmanton](/source/Gilmanton,_Wisconsin) to near [Alma Center](/source/Alma_Center,_Wisconsin).

## Route description

Starting at [WIS 88](/source/Wisconsin_Highway_88) in [Gilmanton](/source/Gilmanton,_Wisconsin), WIS 121 starts to travel eastward, passing through [Lookout](/source/Lookout,_Wisconsin) and [Russell](/source/Russell,_Trempealeau_County,_Wisconsin). Then, WIS 121 turns south along [WIS 93](/source/Wisconsin_Highway_93). In [Independence](/source/Independence,_Wisconsin), WIS 121 leaves eastward away from WIS 93. Then, in [Whitehall](/source/Whitehall,_Wisconsin), WIS 121 begins to [run concurrently](/source/Concurrency_(road)) with [US Highway 53](/source/U.S._Route_53_in_Wisconsin) (US 53). They then pass through [Coral City](/source/Coral_City,_Wisconsin). Then, in [Pigeon Falls](/source/Pigeon_Falls,_Wisconsin), WIS 121 branches eastward, passing through [York](/source/York,_Jackson_County,_Wisconsin) and [Northfield](/source/Northfield,_Wisconsin). In Northfield, it then meets [Interstate 94](/source/Interstate_94_in_Wisconsin) (I-94) at a diamond interchange. Continuing further east, WIS 121 then ends at [WIS 95](/source/Wisconsin_Highway_95) west of [Alma Center](/source/Alma_Center,_Wisconsin).[1]
