# Windfall Formation

The **Windfall Formation** is a [geologic formation](/source/Formation_(geology)) in northeastern and southern [Nevada](/source/Nevada).

Areas it is found include the [Antelope Valley](/source/Antelope_Valley_(Nevada)) region of [Eureka County](/source/Eureka_County,_Nevada) and [Nye County](/source/Nye_County,_Nevada).

It preserves [fossils](/source/Fossils) dating back to the [Cambrian](/source/Cambrian) [period](/source/Period_(geology)).[4][5]
