# Winchus

**Winchus** ([Quechua](/source/Quechua_language) *winchus, winchu* [hummingbird](/source/Hummingbird),[1][2] also spelled *Guinchos*) is a mountain in the northern part of the [Cordillera Blanca](/source/Cordillera_Blanca) in the [Andes](/source/Andes) of [Peru](/source/Peru) which reaches a height of approximately 4,200 m (13,780 ft). It is located in the [Ancash Region](/source/Ancash_Region), [Corongo Province](/source/Corongo_Province), [Cusca District](/source/Cusca_District).[3]
