# William Chapman (cricketer)

**William Chapman** (dates unknown) was an English professional [cricketer](/source/Cricket) who played in a single match in 1803.

Chapman is known to have played for [Nottingham Cricket Club](/source/Nottingham_Cricket_Club) between 1791 and 1817. He played in his only known [historically important match](/source/First-class_cricket#Historically_important_matches) for a combined Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire team.[1]
