## Racing career

Larue began attending races as a teenager, but took an interest in racing through [sim racing](/source/Sim_racing), and with guidance from former Larue Motorsport driver [Alex Labbé](/source/Alex_Labb%C3%A9), made the leap to the track.[1] He began racing in 2018 after purchasing a [late model stock car](/source/Late_model). Since 2019, Larue has competed in multiple late model stock races each year at [Autodrome Chaudière](/source/Autodrome_Chaudi%C3%A8re), the track where he would later score his first win in the car.[1]

Larue made his first of two [NASCAR Canada Series](/source/NASCAR_Canada_Series) starts in [2024](/source/2024_NASCAR_Canada_Series) at Autodrome Chaudière.[2] Power steering issues would relegate him to a 21st place finish in the 22 car field.[3] He would return for the series finale at [Autodrome Montmagny](/source/Autodrome_Montmagny), where he finished second to [Kevin Lacroix](/source/Kevin_Lacroix_(racing_driver)).[4]

Larue returned to the Canada Series in [2025](/source/2025_NASCAR_Canada_Series), finishing second in the [race](/source/2025_NASCAR_Canada_300) at [Riverside International Speedway](/source/Riverside_International_Speedway).[5] In the [2025 Bud Light 250](/source/2025_Bud_Light_250), his fourth career start, Larue beat [Donald Theetge](/source/Donald_Theetge) to score his first career NASCAR Canada Series win.[6] He then finished second in the [season finale](/source/2025_XPN_250) at [Autodrome Montmagny](/source/Autodrome_Montmagny).[7] Larue will compete in nine races in [2026](/source/2026_NASCAR_Canada_Series).
