# Will Caldwell

**Will Caldwell** is an [Australian](/source/Australians) [rugby union](/source/Rugby_union) footballer who currently plays for the [New South Wales Waratahs](/source/New_South_Wales_Waratahs) in the international [Super Rugby](/source/Super_Rugby) competition as a [lock](/source/Rugby_union_positions#Locks).

## Career

Will Caldwell was named vice-captain for the Waratahs clashes with the [Czech Republic](/source/Czech_Republic_national_rugby_union_team) and [Romania](/source/Romania_national_rugby_union_team) on a tour of Eastern Europe. In 2005, he was named on the bench against the [Blues](/source/Blues_(Super_rugby_franchise)).

A member of the [Sydney University](/source/Sydney_University) tight-five, he joined the Waratahs.

In 2005 he made his [Super Rugby](/source/Super_Rugby) debut against [Queensland](/source/Queensland_Reds). By the end of the 2006 season, Caldwell had accumulated a total of 11 caps for the Waratahs, and had scored one try. On 10 July 2006 he was called up to play for [Australia A](/source/Australia_A_national_rugby_union_team).
