**Wilhelm Meyn** (3 June 1923 – 4 May 2002) was a general in the [German Air Force](/source/German_Air_Force). During [World War II](/source/World_War_II), he served in the [Luftwaffe](/source/Luftwaffe) and was a recipient of the [Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross](/source/Knight's_Cross_of_the_Iron_Cross) of [Nazi Germany](/source/Nazi_Germany). In 1956, he joined the [Bundeswehr](/source/Bundeswehr) of [West Germany](/source/West_Germany) and rose to the rank of *[Generalmajor](/source/Generalmajor)*, retiring in 1979.
