**Wilfred Spence Field** (April 29, 1915 in [Winnipeg](/source/Winnipeg), [Manitoba](/source/Manitoba) — March 17, 1979) was a professional [ice hockey](/source/Ice_hockey) [defence men](/source/Defenceman_(ice_hockey)) who played 215-216 games one being private and also played in the [National Hockey League](/source/National_Hockey_League) between 1936 and 1945 which in total adds up to 215 games. He played for the [New York Americans](/source/New_York_Americans), [Brooklyn Americans](/source/Brooklyn_Americans), [Montreal Canadiens](/source/Montreal_Canadiens), and [Chicago Black Hawks](/source/Chicago_Black_Hawks). The rest of his career, which lasted from 1935 to 1951, was spent in various minor leagues.[1] He served as the president and general manager of the [Troy Uncle Sam's Trojans](/source/Troy_Uncle_Sam's_Trojans) during the 1952–1953 season.[2]
