'''West Cavan''' was a [parliamentary constituency](/source/United_Kingdom_constituencies) in [Ireland](/source/Ireland), which from 1885 to 1922 returned one [Member of Parliament](/source/Member_of_Parliament_(United_Kingdom)) (MP) to the [House of Commons](/source/House_of_Commons_of_the_United_Kingdom) of the [United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland](/source/United_Kingdom_of_Great_Britain_and_Ireland).

Prior to 1885 the area was part of the [County Cavan](/source/Cavan_(UK_Parliament_constituency)) constituency. After 1922, on the establishment of the [Irish Free State](/source/Irish_Free_State), the area was not represented in the UK Parliament.

==Boundaries==
This constituency comprised the western part of [County Cavan](/source/County_Cavan), consisting of the baronies of [Clanmahon](/source/Clanmahon), [Loughtee Lower](/source/Loughtee_Lower), [Tullyhaw](/source/Tullyhaw) and [Tullyhunco](/source/Tullyhunco), that part of the barony of [Loughtee Upper](/source/Loughtee_Upper) contained within the parishes of Annagelliff, Castleterra, Kilmore and Urney and the [townland](/source/townland) of Crumlin in the parish of Denn, and that part of the barony of [Tullygarvey](/source/Tullygarvey) contained within the parish of Annagh.
