He contributed the [yodel](/source/yodel)ing to the "Silly Song" in [Walt Disney](/source/Walt_Disney)'s ''[Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs](/source/Snow_White_and_the_Seven_Dwarfs_(1937_film))'', and later backed [Tex Ritter](/source/Tex_Ritter) on guitar. He married actress Marilyn Myers in 1947 and acted with her in several [Western](/source/Western_(genre)) films, in addition to recording the duet "Never" with her.
