**Wellington Bay**[1] is an [Arctic](/source/Arctic) waterway in [Kitikmeot Region](/source/Kitikmeot_Region), [Nunavut](/source/Nunavut), [Canada](/source/Canada). It is located in [Dease Strait](/source/Dease_Strait), off southern [Victoria Island](/source/Victoria_Island_(Canada)). It is about 65 km (40 mi) northwest of the community of [Cambridge Bay](/source/Cambridge_Bay).[2]

It is one of several Canadian landforms named in honour of [Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington](/source/Arthur_Wellesley%2C_1st_Duke_of_Wellington).

## Geography

There are several small islands within the bay. Several rivers flow into it including the [Ekalluk River](/source/Ekalluk_River), Paliryuak (Surrey River), and Halokvik River (Halovik or Thirty-Mile River).[3]

## Fauna

Commercial fishing activities include [Arctic char](/source/Arctic_char).[3]
