# Wedge Ridge

**Wedge Ridge** ([80°38′S 29°12′W](https://geohack.toolforge.org/geohack.php?params=80_38_S_29_12_W)) is a conspicuous rock ridge, 1,145 m, near the head of [Blaiklock Glacier](/source/Blaiklock_Glacier) and immediately west of [Pointer Nunatak](/source/Pointer_Nunatak) in the west part of the [Shackleton Range](/source/Shackleton_Range). First mapped in 1957 by the CTAE. The name given by the [United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee](/source/United_Kingdom_Antarctic_Place-Names_Committee) (UK-APC) is descriptive of the shape of the feature.
