"**We Take the Chance**" is a single by the [German](/source/Germany) [synthpop](/source/Synthpop) duo [Modern Talking](/source/Modern_Talking), released in 1998 as a [single](/source/Single_(music)).

It's the double-A-side along with a megamix with all of their 1980s hit singles, named *[Space Mix '98](/source/Space_Mix_'98)*, with [Eric Singleton](/source/Eric_Singleton).

The song was used as the Maltese [Nationalist Party](/source/Nationalist_Party_(Malta))'s campaign song for the [1998 Malta elections](/source/Maltese_general_election%2C_1998). "We Take the Chance" samples [Europe](/source/Europe_(band))'s song "[The Final Countdown](/source/The_Final_Countdown_(song))", which also happened to be used as the Nationalist Party's campaign song for the [1987 Malta elections](/source/Maltese_general_election%2C_1987) (both of which were won by the Nationalist Party).[1]
