## History

The names of rival dons Sabir Alam and Fahim Khan, lords of two mafia are associated with Wasseypur.[3][4] Despite being out on bail after spending eight years in jail, Sabir Alam rarely stays at home due to the threat to his life.[5] Fahim Khan, who is still alive and in the Ghaghidih Central Jail currently, is the son of Shafiq Khan, a former rival of Suraj Deo Singh.[6][7]

Wasseypur is a quite famous for its gang wars and mafia activity. Although the gang war has now decreased, the progeny of Fahim Khan and relatives are involved in businesses that often affect normally functioning families in the locality.[4][3]
