Taiwo played football in the [Netherlands](/source/Netherlands) for 10 years and after that he played in [Austria](/source/Austria) for one year. He began his career at [Shooting Stars F.C.](/source/Shooting_Stars_F.C.) In the summer of 2008 he moved from Austria to [Shooting Stars S.C.](/source/Shooting_Stars_S.C.) where he was reunited with his former teammate [Edith Agoye](/source/Edith_Agoye).

Taiwo made several appearances for the [Nigeria national football team](/source/Nigeria_national_football_team).
