**War Chant** (1997 – April 11, 2024) was an American [Thoroughbred](/source/Thoroughbred) racehorse best known for winning the 2000 [Breeders' Cup Mile](/source/Breeders'_Cup_Mile) for owners and breeders, [Irving & Marjorie Cowan](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Irving_%26_Marjorie_Cowan&action=edit&redlink=1).[1]

Retired to [stud](/source/Horse_breeding), War Chant resided at [Three Chimneys Farm](/source/Three_Chimneys_Farm).[2] He died on April 11, 2024, at the age of 27.[3]
