The **Wanglee House** ([Thai](/source/Thai_language): บ้านหวั่งหลี) is a historic building in the Thai capital [Bangkok](/source/Bangkok). It sits on the west bank of the [Chao Phraya River](/source/Chao_Phraya_River), in [Khlong San District](/source/Khlong_San_District). The house was built in 1881 for Tan Siew-Wang, an influential [Chinese-Thai](/source/Chinese-Thai) businessman and founder of the [Wanglee family](/source/Wanglee_family). A modified [Chinese courtyard house](/source/Chinese_courtyard_house) with two storeys and a U-shaped plan, its style is based on the family home of the [Poshyananda family](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Poshyananda_family&action=edit&redlink=1), to which Tan's wife belonged. The house received the [ASA Architectural Conservation Award](/source/ASA_Architectural_Conservation_Award) in 1984.[1]
