The '''Wando River''' is a tidewater river in the coastal area of [South Carolina](/source/South_Carolina). It begins in the town of [Awendaw](/source/Awendaw%2C_South_Carolina), Charleston County, and has its mouth at the [Cooper River](/source/Cooper_River_(South_Carolina)) shortly before it flows into [Charleston](/source/Charleston%2C_South_Carolina) Harbor. The Wando's drainage area is {{convert|73061|acre|km2}}. Nearby Drum Island is uninhabited.
