# Walter Lackner

**Walter Lackner** is an Austrian para-alpine skier. He represented [Austria at the 2002 Winter Paralympics](/source/Austria_at_the_2002_Winter_Paralympics) and [at the 2006 Winter Paralympics](/source/Austria_at_the_2006_Winter_Paralympics).

In 2006, he won the gold medal in the [men's super-G standing event](/source/Alpine_skiing_at_the_2006_Winter_Paralympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_super-G) and the bronze medal in the [men's downhill standing event](/source/Alpine_skiing_at_the_2006_Winter_Paralympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_downhill).[1][2]

He also finished in 3rd place in Men's Standing at the [2007 IPC Alpine Skiing World Cup](/source/2007_IPC_Alpine_Skiing_World_Cup).
