==Biography==
Born in [Kafr Qasim](/source/Kafr_Qasim), Israel, Taha gained a bachelor's degree in political science from the [Open University of Israel](/source/Open_University_of_Israel), a bachelor's degree in history at [Tel Aviv University](/source/Tel_Aviv_University) and a master's degree in political science at Tel Aviv University. He worked in education in [Ramla](/source/Ramla) as the principal of Al Huda School.

A member of the [Islamic Movement](/source/Islamic_Movement_in_Israel), Taha became the chair of the organisation's Kafr Qasim branch. He was elected to the city council, becoming director of education. He ran in the [United Arab List](/source/United_Arab_List) primary elections prior to the [2015 Knesset elections](/source/2015_Israeli_legislative_election), attempting to gain second place on the party's list, but lost to [Abd al-Hakim Hajj Yahya](/source/Abd_al-Hakim_Hajj_Yahya) by one vote. However, he was placed sixth on the [Joint List](/source/Joint_List) (an alliance of the four main Arab parties) for the [September 2019 Knesset elections](/source/September_2019_Israeli_legislative_election),<ref>[https://bechirot22.bechirot.gov.il/election/Candidates/Pages/OneListCandidates.aspx?LPF=Search&WebId=6adadc15-e476-480b-9746-04490aedeb0f&ListID=ba72a662-765c-45af-9d48-fb68080956af&ItemID=141&FieldID=ListNickname_GxS_Text Joint List] Central Elections Committee</ref> and was elected to the Knesset as the alliance won thirteen seats.

The United Arab List ran independently in the [2021 elections](/source/2021_Israeli_legislative_election), with Taha re-elected as the party won four seats.
