**WBJB-FM** (90.5 [MHz](/source/MHz) "Brookdale Public Radio, 90.5 The Night"). is a [non-commercial](/source/Non-commercial_educational_station), listener-supported, [public radio](/source/Public_radio) station, owned by [Brookdale Community College](/source/Brookdale_Community_College) and [licensed](/source/City_of_license) to [Lincroft, New Jersey](/source/Lincroft,_New_Jersey). It serves [Central Jersey](/source/Central_Jersey) with "The News You Need and the Music You Love."[1]

WBJB-FM has an [effective radiated power](/source/Effective_radiated_power) (ERP) of 900 watts as a [Class A](/source/List_of_broadcast_station_classes) station. Its [transmitter](/source/Transmitter) is located on Arena Drive on the campus of Brookdale Community College in Lincroft. The station broadcasts using [HD radio](/source/HD_radio) technology. One [digital subchannel](/source/Digital_subchannel) carries [alternative rock](/source/Alternative_rock). Another subchannel airs "Brookdale Student Radio," which is [free-form radio](/source/Free-form_radio).

## Songwriters Concert Series

Brookdale Public Radio presents a "Songwriters Concert Series" each summer. The shows are free and open to the public.[2] They are held, weather permitting, on the beach in [Belmar, New Jersey](/source/Belmar,_New_Jersey) and were formerly held at Riverside Gardens Park in Red Bank, New Jersey before moving to the 5th Avenue Beach in Belmar in 2013.
