**Vorkreist** is a French [blackened death metal](/source/Blackened_death_metal) band based in Paris that shares members with the black metal bands [Antaeus](/source/Antaeus_(band)) and Hell Militia. "Vorkreist" is a [barbarism](/source/Barbarism_(linguistics)) created by the band that supposedly means *[Antichrist](/source/Antichrist)*.

## Biography

After a demo in 2001, Vorkreist released their first album, *[Sabbathical Flesh Possession](/source/Sabbathical_Flesh_Possession)*, in 2003, to lukewarm reviews.[*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*]

In 2006, they released their second album, *[Sublimation XXIXA](/source/Sublimation_XXIXA)*, which received more positive reviews. They toured Europe in September 2007 with [Blacklodge](/source/Blacklodge) and [Horna](/source/Horna).[1]
