# Vordereifel

**Vordereifel** is a *[Verbandsgemeinde](/source/Verbandsgemeinde)* ("collective municipality") in the district of [Mayen-Koblenz](/source/Mayen-Koblenz), in [Rhineland-Palatinate](/source/Rhineland-Palatinate), [Germany](/source/Germany). It is situated on the eastern edge of the [Eifel](/source/Eifel), west of [Mayen](/source/Mayen). The seat of the municipality is in Mayen, itself not part of the municipality.[1]
