The village is located along the river [Songdalselva](/source/Songdalselva), in former [Songdalen](/source/Songdalen) municipality, right on the border with former [Søgne](/source/S%C3%B8gne) municipality (pre 2020). The [European route E39](/source/European_route_E39) highway passes by the village on its way from [Nodeland](/source/Nodeland) and [Brennåsen](/source/Brenn%C3%A5sen) about {{convert|1|to|2|km}} to the north and [Tangvall](/source/Tangvall) (in Søgne) about {{convert|3.5|km}} to the south.
