**Vladimir Pascal** (born 27 May 1992, in [Haiti](/source/Haiti))[1] is a [Haitian](/source/Haiti)-[Guadeloupean](/source/Guadeloupe) [footballer](/source/Association_football) who currently plays as a [midfielder](/source/Midfielder) for [CS Moulien](/source/CS_Moulien) of the [Guadeloupe Division d'Honneur](/source/Guadeloupe_Division_d'Honneur), the top division of the Guadeloupe football league system. He is also a member of the [Guadeloupe national football team](/source/Guadeloupe_national_football_team).[2]

## Club career

Pascal played for [AS Dragon](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=AS_Dragon_(Guadeloupe)&action=edit&redlink=1) in his native Guadeloupe between 2008 and 2011 when they were relegated from the top flight. For the 2010/2011 season, Pascal was the league's top goal scorer, scoring 22 goals. Following this campaign, Pascal traveled to [metropolitan France](/source/Metropolitan_France) and had unsuccessful trials with [RC Lens](/source/RC_Lens) and [LB Châteauroux](/source/LB_Ch%C3%A2teauroux), both of [Ligue 2](/source/Ligue_2). Pascal also previously had trials with other lower-division clubs in France and Cyprus.[3] Pascal then played half a season for [J. S. Suresnes](http://www.jssuresnes.fr/), an amateur club in the Championnat Paris Ile-De-France of the Promotion d'Honneur, the ninth division of the [French football league system](/source/French_football_league_system), in the [Paris](/source/Paris) region, scoring 11 goals.[4] Subsequently, after not receiving a professional contract in France, he signed for [CS Moulien](/source/CS_Moulien) and returned to the [Guadeloupe Division d'Honneur](/source/Guadeloupe_Division_d'Honneur).[2]

In December 2013, Pascal was one of 23 players invited to the inaugural [MLS Caribbean Combine](/source/MLS_Caribbean_Combine), a joint venture between [Major League Soccer](/source/Major_League_Soccer) and the [Caribbean Football Union](/source/Caribbean_Football_Union) aiming to provide exposure for the region's best players in hopes of being selected in the [2014 MLS SuperDraft](/source/2014_MLS_SuperDraft), as the two entities continued to build a stronger relationship.[5]

## International career

Pascal made his debut for the [Guadeloupe national football team](/source/Guadeloupe_national_football_team) in a [friendly](/source/Exhibition_match) against [St. Kitts and Nevis](/source/St._Kitts_and_Nevis_national_football_team) on 2 March 2010. He has since gone on to be part of the squad for the [2010](/source/2010_Coupe_de_l'Outre-Mer) and [2012 Coupe de l'Outre-Mer](/source/2012_Coupe_de_l'Outre-Mer) and Guadeloupe's unsuccessful run during [2012 Caribbean Cup qualification](/source/2012_Caribbean_Cup_qualification). He scored his first international goal on 22 September 2012 against [Saint Pierre and Miquelon](/source/Saint_Pierre_and_Miquelon_national_football_team) during the 2012 Coupe de l'Outre-Mer, a football tournament for the [overseas departments and territories of France](/source/Overseas_departments_and_territories_of_France).[6] In 2012, Pascal represented Haiti, the nation of his birth, at the Under-23 level during their unsuccessful qualifying campaign for the [2012 Summer Olympics](/source/Football_at_the_2012_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_tournament).[1]
