***Viper Racing*** is a [Dodge-licensed](/source/Dodge_Viper) [3D](/source/3D_computer_graphics) [car racing game](/source/Racing_video_game), released in 1998 on the [Windows](/source/Microsoft_Windows) [PC](/source/Personal_computer) platform. It was the first commercially released game developed by [Monster Games](/source/Monster_Games).

The game was developed in two years with a team of six people.[2]

The game received favorable reviews according to the [review aggregation](/source/Review_aggregator) website [GameRankings](/source/GameRankings).[3]

The game was a finalist for *[Computer Games Strategy Plus](/source/Computer_Games_Magazine)*' 1998 "Racing Game of the Year" award, which ultimately went to *[Motocross Madness](/source/Motocross_Madness_(1998_video_game))*. The staff called the former "a fabulously rich game experience, with an excellent career mode and more customization options than you could find at a real Dodge dealer."[15]
