**Vienna** is a [town](/source/Political_subdivisions_of_Wisconsin#Town) in [Dane County](/source/Dane_County%2C_Wisconsin), [Wisconsin](/source/Wisconsin), United States. The population was 1,666 at the 2020 census. The unincorporated community of [Norway Grove](/source/Norway_Grove%2C_Wisconsin) is located in the town.

## Geography

According to the [United States Census Bureau](/source/United_States_Census_Bureau), the town has a total area of 35.6 square miles (92.2 km2), of which 35.6 square miles (92.1 km2) is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km2) (0.06%) is water.

## Demographics

At the 2000 [census](/source/Census),[2] there were 1,294 people, 461 households and 368 families living in the town. The [population density](/source/Population_density) was 36.4 per square mile (14.0/km2). There were 467 housing units at an average density of 13.1 per square mile (5.1/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 98.76% [White](/source/White_(U.S._Census)), 0.39% [African American](/source/African_American_(U.S._Census)), 0.08% [Native American](/source/Native_American_(U.S._Census)), 0.08% [Asian](/source/Asian_(U.S._Census)), 0.08% from [other races](/source/Race_(United_States_Census)), and 0.62% from two or more races. [Hispanic](/source/Hispanic_(U.S._Census)) or [Latino](/source/Latino_(U.S._Census)) of any race were 0.31% of the population.

There were 461 households, of which 38.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 72.0% were [married couples](/source/Marriage) living together, 4.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 20.0% were non-families. 14.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 4.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.81 and the average family size was 3.12.

26.4% of the population under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 30.8% from 25 to 44, 27.4% from 45 to 64, and 8.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females, there were 104.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 106.1 males.
