**Victor Skutezky** (15 January 1893 – 1981) was an Austrian-born British [film producer](/source/Film_producer), [screenwriter](/source/Screenwriter) and [production manager](/source/Unit_production_manager). He was born in [Moravia](/source/Moravia) when it was part of the [Austro-Hungarian Empire](/source/Austro-Hungarian_Empire), but moved to [Berlin](/source/Berlin) after the [First World War](/source/First_World_War). He was employed in the [German film industry](/source/Cinema_of_Germany) during the [Weimar Republic](/source/Weimar_Republic), but fled following the [Nazi takeover](/source/Nazi_takeover) due to his [Jewish](/source/Jewish_people) background.[1] He settled in Britain as a refugee. He was a key filmmaker at [Associated British Picture Corporation](/source/Associated_British_Picture_Corporation) where he was a staff producer then had his own production company, Marble Arch Films.[2]
