# Vico Merklein

**Vico Merklein** (born 12 August 1977[1]) is a [paracyclist](/source/Para-cycling) who medaled in [Cycling at the 2012 Summer Paralympics](/source/Cycling_at_the_2012_Summer_Paralympics)[2] and the [2016 Summer Paralympics](/source/2016_Summer_Paralympics).[3] He also represented [Germany at the 2020 Summer Paralympics](/source/Germany_at_the_2020_Summer_Paralympics).[citation needed]
