**Viacheslav Volodymyrovych Mishchenko** ([Ukrainian](/source/Ukrainian_language): В'ячеслав Володимирович Міщенко, born 2 December 1964, [Berdychiv](/source/Berdychiv), [Zhytomyr Oblast](/source/Zhytomyr_Oblast))[1] is a [Ukrainian](/source/Ukrainians) [photographer](/source/Fine-art_photography) and [painter](/source/Painting). 20 Years of Independence of Ukraine Medal (2011).[2]

## Biography

In 1986, he graduated from [Zhytomyr Medical School](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Zhytomyr_Medical_School&action=edit&redlink=1). From then until 1990, he worked as a dental technician at the Zhytomyr Hospital for the Disabled. He is currently working as a creative artist.[1]

From 2002 to 2013, he was the head of the Union of Free Artists and Folk Masters "Vernisazh" in his hometown.[1]

## Creative work

Mishchenko has been taking pictures since he was eight years old.[3] He is fond of [macro photography](/source/Macro_photography), and creates picturesque still lifes and landscapes in a realistic style.[1] A collection of his photographs was published in Japan.[4]

He held personal exhibitions in Berdychiv (2013–2014), [Namur](/source/Namur) (2014), [Tongeren](/source/Tongeren) (2015).[1]
