The farm began hosting an annual Harvest Festival in 2006. In 1982, the farms land was placed under an Agricultural Preservation Restriction, which prevented development from occurring.<ref name=":1">{{Cite web |title=Farm History |url=https://verrillfarm.com/about/farm-history/ |access-date=2026-04-30 |website=Verrill Farm |language=en-US}}</ref>

Steve Verrill, grandson of the original owner, took over the farm in 1957, upon his graduation from [Cornell University](/source/Cornell_University).<ref name=":0" /> He sold the farm's dairy herd in 1990.<ref name=":1" /><ref>{{Cite news |date=1992-05-24 |title=Niche Farms: the Appeal of New Crops |url=https://www.nytimes.com/1992/05/24/us/niche-farms-the-appeal-of-new-crops.html |access-date=2026-04-30 |work=The New York Times |language=en-US |issn=0362-4331}}</ref>

Jennifer Verrill, Steve's daughter, and her husband, Tim, now own the farm. Their daughters are the fourth generation of the family to work on the farm.<ref name=":1" />
