The '''Verrett River''' is a tributary to the [Iskut River](/source/Iskut_River) and the [Stikine River](/source/Stikine_River) in [British Columbia](/source/British_Columbia), [Canada](/source/Canada). It begins in the [Boundary Ranges](/source/Boundary_Ranges) of the [Coast Mountains](/source/Coast_Mountains) roughly {{Convert|40|km|mi}} from [the Alaskan border](/source/BC-Alaska_Boundary) and flows south until it meets the Iskut River, immediately east of [Mount Verrett](/source/Mount_Verrett). The Verrett River is a part of a large ecosystem important to [anadromous](/source/Fish_migration) fish species. The lower reaches of the river near the mouth have been documented to have a fish presence, but the upper areas have too many natural barriers to be accessed by fish.<ref name=":0" /> This area, along with the larger Iskut River area, is also important to [animal](/source/animal) species such as [grizzly bear](/source/grizzly_bear)s, [wolverine](/source/wolverine)s, [woodland caribou](/source/Reindeer), and [wolves](/source/Wolf), among others.{{Cn|date=October 2023}}
