**Vector Product Format (VPF)** is a [military standard](/source/United_States_Military_Standard) for [vector](/source/Vector_graphics)-based [digital map](/source/Digital_mapping) products produced by the [U.S. Department of Defense](/source/U.S._Department_of_Defense) (DOD). It has been adopted as part of the [Digital Geographic Exchange Standard](/source/Digital_Geographic_Exchange_Standard) (DIGEST) in the form of [Vector Relational Format](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Vector_Relational_Format&action=edit&redlink=1) (VRF), so VPF can be considered to be an [international standard](/source/International_standard) as well.[1]
