# Varshons

***Varshons*** is the ninth studio album by [alternative rock](/source/Alternative_rock) band [the Lemonheads](/source/The_Lemonheads), and is an album of [covers](/source/Cover_version). On March 27, 2009, it was announced that *Varshons* would be released in the US on June 23 on [The End Records](/source/The_End_Records).[1] It was promoted with a US tour throughout June 2009, and a UK tour in September 2009.[2][3] Between January and March 2010, Dando went on a US tour.[4]

Produced by [Butthole Surfers](/source/Butthole_Surfers) frontman [Gibby Haynes](/source/Gibby_Haynes), the album features a variety of tracks from [GG Allin](/source/GG_Allin), [Wire](/source/Wire_(band)), [Leonard Cohen](/source/Leonard_Cohen), and [Christina Aguilera](/source/Christina_Aguilera). Guest performances include vocals from actress [Liv Tyler](/source/Liv_Tyler) on [Leonard Cohen](/source/Leonard_Cohen)'s "[Hey, That's No Way to Say Goodbye](/source/Hey,_That's_No_Way_to_Say_Goodbye)", and model [Kate Moss](/source/Kate_Moss) guests on [Arling & Cameron](/source/Arling_%26_Cameron)'s "Dirty Robot". [The Only Ones](/source/The_Only_Ones) guitarist [John Perry](/source/John_Perry_(musician)) guests on five tracks.

The cover art is by Mark Dagley. The front cover resembles a [Spirograph](/source/Spirograph) design, while the rear cover is an homage to the back cover of *[Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols](/source/Never_Mind_the_Bollocks,_Here's_the_Sex_Pistols)*.

Online editions of the album feature a bonus track, a cover of Tim Hardin's "How Can We Hang On to a Dream".
