**Valley Torah High School** is an [Orthodox Jewish](/source/Orthodox_Jewish) high school located in [Valley Village, California](/source/Valley_Village%2C_California). The school has two separate divisions (in different buildings and locations): a Boys Division, and a Girls Division. The current [Rosh Yeshiva](/source/Rosh_Yeshiva) is Rabbi Avraham Stulberger.[2]

Valley Torah is [hashkafically](/source/Hashkafa) aligned with the [Chofetz Chaim](/source/Chofetz_Chaim) school of thought, which is a subset of [Litvishe](/source/Litvishe) [Haredi Judaism](/source/Haredi_Judaism) rooted in the [Musar movement](/source/Musar_movement) of 19th-century [Lithuanian Jewry](/source/Lithuanian_Jewry).[3] The high school is part of the [Freelance League](/source/Freelance_League).

## Athletics

### Basketball

The Valley Torah Wolfpack won the 2011 Division 6AA [CIF](/source/California_Interscholastic_Federation) basketball championship, becoming the first Jewish school in [Southern California](/source/Southern_California) to ever earn a [CIF title](/source/California_Interscholastic_Federation), and the only orthodox Jewish school to do so.[4]

The Wolfpack have also won three national Jewish tournaments: Memphis Cooper,[5] Glouberman,[6] and the Red Sarachek Tournament at [Yeshiva University](/source/Yeshiva_University).[7] They are the only Jewish school to accomplish all three feats.[*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*]

[Ryan Turell](/source/Ryan_Turell) attended and played as a [shooting guard](/source/Shooting_guard) on the varsity basketball team at the school.[8][9] Playing for the high school, as a junior in 2016-17 he averaged 25.3 points per game, and as a senior in 2017-18 he averaged 34.3 points per game.[10] In 2018, he received a [McDonald's All-American Game](/source/McDonald's_All-American_Game) nomination, and was [California Interscholastic Federation](/source/California_Interscholastic_Federation) (CIF) Division IV State Player of the Year and First Team Division IV.[9][11]

## Girls' Division

The girls' branch of the school is located on 12003 Riverside Drive, 91607. Gross left Bnos Devorah High School in the middle of a school year in order to join Valley Torah Girls' Division in 2014, where she stayed until 2022.
