# Valencia robertae

***Valencia robertae*** is a species of Mediterranean [killifish](/source/Killifish), from the [family](/source/Family_(taxonomy)) [Valenciidae](/source/Valenciidae). It is [endemic](/source/Endemism) to Greece where it is found in the Lower [Pinios](/source/Pinios_River_(Peloponnese)) and lower [Mornos](/source/Mornos) Rivers in Greece.[1] The species was [described](/source/Species_description) in 2004 with the [type locality](/source/Type_locality_(biology)) given as River Pinios south of [Kavasila](/source/Kavasila,_Elis).[2] The [specific name](/source/Specific_name_(zoology)) honours the [Italian](/source/Italian_people) [ichthyologist](/source/Ichthyologist) Roberta Barbieri of the [Hellenic Centre for Marine Research](/source/Hellenic_Centre_for_Marine_Research) in [Athens](/source/Athens).[3]
