**Vakoun Issouf Bayo** (born 10 January 1997) is an Ivorian professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [forward](/source/Forward_(association_football)) for Italian [Serie A](/source/Serie_A) club [Udinese](/source/Udinese_Calcio) and the [Ivory Coast national team](/source/Ivory_Coast_national_football_team). He is nicknamed *The Crow*.[1]

## Club career

### Dunajská Streda

Bayo joined Dunajská Streda in March 2018.[2] He made his Slovak league debut against [Slovan Bratislava](/source/%C5%A0K_Slovan_Bratislava) on 18 March 2018.[3]

### Celtic

Bayo moved to [Scottish Premiership](/source/Scottish_Premiership) club [Celtic](/source/Celtic_F.C.) in January 2019.[4] He was left out of the Celtic squad for the latter stages of the [2018–19 UEFA Europa League](/source/2018%E2%80%9319_UEFA_Europa_League), with the club only able to register three of their four January window signings.[5] He made his debut for Celtic against [Kilmarnock](/source/Kilmarnock_F.C.) on 17 February 2019, coming on as a late substitute shortly before [Scott Brown](/source/Scott_Brown_(footballer%2C_born_June_1985)) scored a late winner.[6][7]

#### Toulouse (loan)

On 12 August 2020, Bayo signed for French club [Toulouse](/source/Toulouse_F.C.), on a one-year loan, with an additional option to buy.[8]

### Gent

On 9 July 2021, Bayo signed for [Belgian First Division A](/source/Belgian_First_Division_A) club [Gent](/source/K.A.A._Gent) on a four-year deal.[9]

### Charleroi

On 22 December 2021, Bayo agreed to join [Charleroi](/source/R._Charleroi_S.C.) on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy.[10] On 16 May 2022, Charleroi confirmed that they had exercised the option to purchase and had signed Bayo on a contract until 2026 after a successful loan spell that saw him score eleven goals in sixteen matches.[11]

### Watford

On 2 July 2022, Bayo joined [EFL Championship](/source/EFL_Championship) club [Watford](/source/Watford_F.C.) on a five-year deal.[12]

### Charleroi (loan)

On 30 January 2023, Bayo rejoined [Charleroi](/source/R._Charleroi_S.C.) on loan until the end of the season.[13]

### Udinese

On 29 August 2024, Bayo signed a four-season contract with [Udinese](/source/Udinese_Calcio) in Italy, and was loaned back to Watford for the rest of the 2024–25 season.[14]
