**V-League Visayas** is a regional collegiate [volleyball](/source/Volleyball) league in the Philippines organized by [Sports Vision](/source/Sports_Vision) for teams based in [Visayas](/source/Visayas). The league was established in 2025 as a regional counterpart to the [V-League](/source/V-League_(Philippines)) in [Metro Manila](/source/Metro_Manila).

The league is composed of six teams in both women's and men's divisions, all based in [Cebu City](/source/Cebu_City) and are affiliated with [Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc.](/source/Cebu_Schools_Athletic_Foundation%2C_Inc.) (CESAFI)

## History

### Background

Main articles: [Shakey's V-League](/source/Shakey's_V-League) and [V-League (Philippines)](/source/V-League_(Philippines))

In 2022, the [Sports Vision](/source/Sports_Vision) established the [V-League](/source/V-League_(Philippines)), a revival of the former [Shakey's V-League](/source/Shakey's_V-League) that lasted from 2004 to 2016.[1][2] Historically, teams from [CESAFI](/source/CESAFI) have competed in the SVL,[3] with the last time being the [2014 SVL 1st Conference](/source/Shakey's_V-League_11th_Season_1st_Conference), which saw [Southwestern University](/source/Southwestern_University_(Philippines))'s Lady Cobras take part.

V-League Visayas was first announced on March 21, 2025 with [Ken Ucang](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ken_Ucang&action=edit&redlink=1) as its commissioner. Sports Vision president [Ricky Palou](/source/Ricky_Palou) stated that the tournament will "complement the CESAFI tournaments by giving players more opportunities to excel." Multiple schools across [Cebu City](/source/Cebu_City) have backed and expressed support for the regional league.[4][5][6]

### Launch

The inaugural season of V-League Visayas will start on July 6, 2025. It will feature six CESAFI teams who will compete in both the women's and men's divisions.[7]
