The **Uzen Oil Field** is an [oil field](/source/Oil_field) located in [Mangystau Region](/source/Mangystau_Region), Kazakhstan. It was discovered in 1961 and developed by [KazMunayGas](/source/KazMunayGas). The oil field is operated and owned by [KazMunayGas](/source/KazMunayGas). The total [proven reserves](/source/Proven_reserves) of the Uzen oil field are around 1,500,000,000 barrels (240,000,000 m3) (201 million tonnes), and production is centered on 100,000 barrels per day (16,000 m3/d).[1]
